What’s the opportunity? (Role)

We seek an ambitious, self-motivated, hard-working individual to become part of the Hereworks Team as a Bid Writer reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director.  

This will be a rewarding and challenging career opportunity for the right individual with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. 

What’s involved in the Role?

  • Creating beautiful, accurate, succinct proposal documentation.
  • Working with sales and marketing to prepare sales and proposal documentation.
  • Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals which contain technical content and designs ensuring that these are presented in a professional and concise manner.
  • Gather and analyse technical information from various sources to document new and changing requirements, processes and procedures.
  • Write for a variety of audiences, from non-technical end users to project managers, consultant engineers, clients and architects.
  • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
  • Creating compelling case studies.
  • CV preparation.
  • Updating CRM pipeline.
  • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
  • Ensure accurate version control and audit trail.
  • Support prequal, tender, post bid presentations and operational documentation.
  • Post-tender debrief & lessons learned sessions.
  • The role may involve bid work for the wider group.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

  • Technical writing in construction or building services is beneficial.
  • Experience in bid writing.
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and present them in simplified text and graphics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Must have exemplary, clear, and professional communication skills (written and oral).
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients, and colleagues and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently and ensuring to meet deadlines.  
  • Adherence to all company policies as outlined in Employee Handbook.
  • Other Duties as required by management.

Practicalities:

  • Full time - 40 Hours per week.
  • Hybrid model with remote working and some work at Head Office in Ashbourne Co. Meath.

Salary:

  • Depending on Experience - starting from €29,000 per annum
