Product Designer

A Hereworks Happy Building puts the occupants of commercial buildings first. Ensuring their comfort by directing them to areas of the building that precisely meets their preferences. A single pane of glass is provided via the Happy App to all building features including Hot Desk Booking, Parking, ‘Find my Colleague’, Meeting Room Control, Event Information and much more.
The Hereworks Happy Platform monitors the internal and external environments of the building. This data is then used to optimise the building and provide a Happiness Score. The goal is to achieve 100% happiness for the building ensuring the wellbeing of occupants while operating at maximum efficiency.

What’s the opportunity? (Role)

You will work as part of the MSI and Hereworks Happy Team to design, develop and deliver truly smart buildings for our clients.
Reporting to our Product Manager, this will be a rewarding and exciting career opportunity for the right individual working on the cutting edge of Smart Building developments.

What will you be doing? ( Responsibilities)

  • Work through design problems from start to finish. Transforming insights from user research into design concepts that will form new products and features.
  • Designing the detailed workflows and interactions to bring these designs to life
  • Sketch and prototype ideas quickly to assess viability
  • Design components, interactions, and transitions
  • Maintain and expand our design system
  • Work closely with engineers as you design and ship ideas
  • Validate designs by user testing and other user research activities
  • Present and communicate your design decisions to the wider cross functional team

What do you need? (Requirements)

  • Experience designing digital products and systems that span beyond just websites
  • Ability to contribute to the entire product design process, from problem solving through the detailed UI, visual and interaction design
  • Ability to create interactive prototypes using figma / invision or similar software
  • Good experience in data visualisation ( charts, graphs)
  • Good experience with mobile design
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate your design concepts to the cross functional team
  • A growth mindset. Strong passion for design; not satisfied with the status quo, always looking at ways to improve
  • Motivated, self starter who can collaborate with other disciplines across the organisation including, engineering, product management, marketing and stakeholders

Portfolio (Experience Required)

  • Your experience should be ideally focused on designing software products and your portfolio should demonstrate the problems you had to solve as part of that. It should include examples of the processes you used to solve problems, the challenges you overcame and the lessons you learned.


  • 20 Hours per week
  • Can be fully remote within the EU time zone
